i again had the opportunity to touch bases with an old lost friend, ms. jelena rokanovic.  this beauty has traveled the world and pretty much done it all.  when shes not destroying her studio with adhesives, shes pretty much kicking ass and taking numbers.

Jelena Rokanovic, founder of Jrok design was born in Belgrade, Serbia where she completed her Master in Fine Arts.  Shortly after, Jelena moved to Milano, Italy to enrich and diversify her education in the world of art by studying fashion and Interior design.  As every true artist, she draws inspiration from a range of differend cultures, cities and her personal experiences trough extensive traveling Worldwide.  After 15 years living in Europe she is currently living in Beverly Hills.

These collages are like playing cards, they can be looked at from either side, above and below. On a symbolic level, when you think about it, isn’t life itself just that:a big card game, a lot of fun, ever changing luck and also something else that can be seen from different angles, something that confuses us again and again with its different faces which are, at the same time, unified and diverse, attractive and unusual and which give us different options of interpreting them but never quite revealing the truth about themselves.
