“Tokio Ultra Lounge is proud to announce its transformation into Hollywoods first eco‐friendly lounge. Located in the ever popular Cahuenga Corridor, Ecco will set the standards for an eco‐friendly nightlife industry by minimizing and neutralizing its impact on the environment and complementing energy saving initiatives. Recognizing the milestone Ecco will set for eco friendly living in the nightlife industry, Discovery Channel has decided to witness and document this transformation into the green haven it will become. Ecco is expected to be completed by the end of June 2008, and The Alter Eco show on Discovery Channel will feature this transformation in June 2008.

Tokio is going undergo complete renovation using natural and environmentally friendly products and materials. The venue is going green through the use of various environmentally safe and energy saving methods

Designed by Beau Robb, the mastermind behind renowned venues such as Area and Privilege nightclubs, Ecco will be the nation’s first eco-friendly certified nightlife venue. Ecco will feature, among other things:

* Multi-colored, energy-efficient, state-of-the-art LED lighting system, exclusively designed and installed by Disco Designer and Cosmos Lighting.
* Power supplied by the L.A. Department of Water & Power’s Green Power resources
* Exclusively organic cuisine
* Cold & heat insulation, saving 20% of standard energy use through high quality insulation
* Solar paneling to minimize electricity usage
* Energy efficient recycled steel air pressure toilets and waterless urinals
* State of the art “Dyson Airblades” hand dryers
* Free valet for hybrid vehicles
* Audio provided by Turbosound, winners of the Best Club Awards 2008 “Best Sound System & Best Sound Product.” Lead designed by Joe Lodi, owner of Bliss System Installer/Advanced Audio Technology
* Paperless Solution for ticketing, marketing and reservations provided by UpCode Solutions USA and its Mobile Access & Interaction technology (MAI)™ “
